The fees for your PDC Course include:
- 72 hours of experiencial learning over 12 Saturdays plus optional field trips for on-site design practice
- Inspiring study and useful reference materials- video, audio, pdfs and articles delivered via email and dropbox.com You can download them and re-visit them forever.
- Quality course notes and handouts for each module.
- Access to the permaculture library.
- Membership to the Plenty Permaculture Graduates Facebook page for ongoing learning and support.
- Mentorship for your permaculture design project.
- A graduation certificate suitable for displaying.
- A priceless opportunity to join the growing community BOP residents interested in permaculture and resilience
Course Cost and Payment Options:
- Course fee: $1500 ( Direct banking), $1550 (PayPal or credit card)
- Tuition discount: $1340. The first seven registrants, who pay in full, save $160.
- Pay as you go: $540 deposit to hold your spot. Then pay via direct credit, $85 per 12 modules – $1560.
Monthly payments are required 15 days before each module. - Pay per module: To keep things very flexible, you are welcome to pay per module with no deposit, $130 per module.
- Casual Participation: Participants not interested in earning a certificate are welcome to attend modules of their choice at $130 per module, as space is available.
- Internships: We have found that 4 internships work well to support the year long course. An internship is half priced tuition ( $750) and four hours of assistance per module. Current internship positions are:
- OPEN – Space manager: Set up and break down the learning space, manage comfort during the modules.
- OPEN – Kai manager: Management of food and clean up for teas and lunches during each module.
- OPEN – Photographer and videographer: Document each module day.
- OPEN – Assistant organiser: Computer and office work, social media marketing, outreach, gardening, misc.
- An additional internship could be created if your special skill supports the course, the participants and/or the organisation. (Artist, computer graphics, video editing, carpentry, etc.)
- If you would like to take the next step toward interning, please email us your CV and a list of your skills. We can then explore how your fees could be offset through other physical and intellectual contributions.
- Scholarship: OPEN We also offer one scholarship to a young person, aged 25 or under. The deadline for the scholarship application is 31 January 2019. Details can be found here. The scholarship position for 2019-20 is not yet filled.
- Course Size: The course will close and the waiting list will open when we reach 24 participants. A minimum of 15 participants are needed for the course to go ahead.
