Who we are
Catherine and Neville Dunton-McLeod founded Plenty Permaculture in 2014. We love offering education to Bay of Plenty residents like the powerful design process of permaculture. As the BOP is our chosen home, we are keen to spread practical know-how with the people who live here, adding to the resilience and permanent abundance of this beautiful place.
What is Permaculture?
Permaculture was developed in the 1970s by Australians Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in response to the overpopulation and environmental destruction happening around them. In the 40 years since, it has developed into a powerful process which leads to easy-to-understand, abundant, economical. low maintenance and nature-friendly property design. Permaculture allows us to design resilient environments to any scale – in our own apartments, backyards, lifestyle blocks, farms, businesses and communities.
Why Permaculture?
Co-founder David Holmgren has something to say about that.
And here’s how the laconic teacher – designer Geoff Lawton says it.
